“New Covenant”

Jeremiah 29-32

Highlighted Verse:

“For I know the plans I have for you. – this is the Lord’s declaration – plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11, like the rest of today’s reading, is full of hope.  God promised His people a future as bright as the sun. Jeremiah 31 says He will make a new covenant with His people where His laws would be written on their hearts and there would be forgiveness of sins. The prophecy found in today’s reading foretells the gospel.  Jesus establishes this new covenant with His death (Hebrews 8:7-13).

Praise God for the hope that you have in Jesus Christ.  Praise Him for the forgiveness of your sins.  Allow the gospel of Jesus Christ to speak hope into your life today.
